My Facebook Fan Page and a Sale

I hit 100 fans today and was able to get my new URL for my Facebook page!

It's been so much fun going through the Etsy fan thread! :) I've seen many shops on Etsy that I never knew about. There are still many more pages to see, so I'll keep working a page or two at a time.

I'm having a SALE in my Etsy shop until Sunday, too! 20% off select purses! I don't know if it's because of the sale or the Facebook page drive, but my hearts have gone way up this week and one of the sale purses sold today! Yay!!

I started cutting out fabric for a rag quilt. I want to make a few quilts for the store. The one I'm working on now is pretty homespuns and flannel. I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

Homespun Apples Rag Quilt Purse

This purse sold today and I didn't get a chance to put a picture of it up here. I want to make another one to put in the store for the fall season. I love the homespun apple fabric and gingham. Perfect to carry in the fall and even into winter.

Homespun Rag Quilt Tote

I listed this tote a few days ago, but just getting a chance to sit down and blog about it. Homespun is a perfect fabric for rag quilting. It fluffs up beautifully, especially with flannel used in the squares. This homespun is so pretty with all the colors, especially the blue thread with little nubs running through it. So pretty!

Up late trying to figure out my Facebook Fan page

I signed up for a Facebook Fan page a couple months ago and remember thinking it looked confusing and I'd get back to it later. Well, I completely forgot I had it. :P Went back to Facebook yesterday to sign up for one and realized I already had one. Geesh!
So, I started working on it today and it is confusing. Took me forever to get the fan box on the page. Actually, I have no idea what I did to get it on there. Nothing I tried worked and then all of a sudden it appeared. I wish I knew what I did. But, it's there so I guess that's all that matters. Just a little bit more to go before I make it public. I need to get some photo albums filled first and put up a couple posts to get it started. It's been an experience, that's for sure!

Rag Quilt Tote for Those Who Love To Sew

I used fun sewing themed fabrics for this tote. Lots of buttons, pincushions, spools of thread, etc. with fun button flowers. I love the browns, oranges, yellows, and greens in the fabrics. Lots of pockets inside and out so you can use this as an everyday tote or for your sewing projects. I used a new layered sandwich of fabric, flannel, batting, and interfacing that gives the tote extra structure and fun, fluffy seams!

Finishing a purse and talking on the phone!

Not alot going on this past week other than working on a custom order. It went out in the mail today. I had plans to get another one started today, but ended up talking on the phone a lot! lol

I talked to my sister this morning for a pretty long time(we always talk forever), talked to my daughter, Bec(a few times, she moved yesterday to a new place) my best friend called(she's on vacation in Texas and wanted to let me know how it's going) and I talked to an old friend from high school who found me on Facebook today. We caught up a little bit, but I need to e-mail her so we can "talk" some more. That was neat to wake up to a message from her on Facebook. We had talked about 5 years ago, but then lost touch. I tried to find her again a couple of years ago, but the phone number I called didn't work. I didn't know it, but she moved from Missouri, then to Arkansas, and now she's in Oklahoma. So, we have a lot of catching up to do.

Anyway, here's a couple pics of the latest purse for the nice lady who ordered it. She was great to work with and it was a pleasure to make this for her.
